Bert has served in various
positions in county government. He was appointed to the
Gwinnett County Recreation Authority in 1991 and to the
Municipal Gwinnett County Planning Commission in 1992. He was
elected Vice-Chairman in 1995 and Chairman of the Planning
Commission in 2001. He was appointed to the Gwinnett
County Revitalization Task Force in 2001.
In 2002, Bert was elected to the
County Commission and selected to serve as the Board's Vice
Chairman for 2003. Bert has
worked closely with citizen groups and business leaders. He is
a 1994 Graduate of the Leadership Gwinnett Program. |

Bert is a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area and a
21-year resident of Norcross having moved here after
graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law in
1984. Prior to attending law school, Nasuti earned a
Masters Degree in Public Administration and Bachelors of
Arts Degree in Economics also from the University of Georgia.

Bert is a partner in the
Gwinnett County law firm of Thompson, OBrien, Kemp, &
Nasuti, P.C. and his legal practice has focused on
commercial transactions, banking, finance and government law.
In 1990, he was appointed by the United States Department of
Justice to the private panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for the
United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Georgia
and he currently serves as a Trustee administering cases for
the Federal Bankruptcy Court.
Bert is married and has four
young children. Three of the children attend Simpson Elementary School
and the youngest is in preschool. Bert is an active
volunteer in church, school and youth activities and coaches
Tee-ball and softball at the Norcross Dixie Youth leagues at
Pinckneyville Park. Bert is an active member of Simpsonwood
United Methodist Church.
